Korbin is 1!!

It's Korbin's birthday today! He is now a year old! I can't believe it! This year has gone by so fast but I can't believe he has only been with us for a year because I can't imagine our lives without him! He is such a great little boy and he fills our lives with so much happiness. From the day he was born he has been such an easy going kid. He smiles all day long and h is definitely more cuddly than Peyton was, ha ha! He now has 8 teeth and I am pretty sure a couple more are on their way. He has had multiple haircuts now, he has had more in his 1 year of life than Peyton has had in her 3 years! I am not sure how tall he is or how much he weighs we will find out when he goes in for his 1 year check up, but he is a big kid! He is really tall and slender, he is now in 24 month clothes and growing rapidly! He is walking all over the place and he loves to climb on anything that he can. He is not really talking, he babbles all the time but he is not really saying any words yet but I am sure it is coming soon. He loves Peyton and he lives for her to pay attention to him, however he is quickly learning how to push her buttons :-) . I feel bad that we didn't really do anything for his birthday today, we spent almost all day running around and buying stuff for his party on Sunday! Poor kid! But I am way excited for his party and he already discovered the new toys that we bought him and he wants to play with them pretty bad, oops! I am so happy to be Korbin's mom and I am looking forward to watching him grow and learn even more!

University of Utah Game

This past Saturday we went to the U Of U football game with our friends Andrew and Amber. We had a blast! Dev and I have been to BYU and Utah State games but never to a U of U game. My dad is a die hard BYU fan so I was raised to despise the Utes, ha ha! But I am all for supporting teams that are going to help break up the BCS.
We went out to dinner before the game to P.F. Changs and I seriously love that place! I am not a big Chinese food fan but this place is so good. Dev got the Mongolian Beef and I got the Honey Chicken and they were both awesome, I think I liked Dev's more than mine but they were still both really good. I am hoping to try some new restaurants every time we go out so we can check this one off the list.

It was the homecoming game and the place was packed, we had to park clear up by the hospital and then walk down to the stadium and the streets were just a sea of people in red! The game was a blowout 56 to 3 but it was still an exciting game. We had a lot of fun watching the people that sat around us too. The was some guy that sat a few rows behind us that was on his feet the entire game and was shouting the weirdest stuff, most of it was drug references so who knows what he was on! We are hoping to go to another game this season, but other than the game against Colorado, the next home games are against TCU and BYU and the ticket prices are CRAZY EXPENSIVE! Holy crap like $195 per ticket for Standing Room Only! So we probably won't make it to another game this year but hopefully next year although the tickets might be even more expensive since they are moving to the Pac-10!

We have Korbin's birthday coming up on Friday and his party on Sunday that I am super excited for. I know Korbin is oblivious to what is going on but I am super excited! We are hoping to get some family pictures taken in the next couple of weeks and the are LONG overdue, we have not had a family picture taken EVER! Horrible I know! So we need to get one taken! I am enjoying this sort of Indian Summer that we are having but I am kinda looking forward to the colder weather. I bought the kids a bunch of cute fall and winter clothes so I am excited for them to wear all the stuff I bought but when it is 90 degrees out they can't! I will be posting again later in the week for Korbin's birthday and his party, and we finally got a new digital camera so that means more pictures!

She's 3!!

Peyton is now 3 years old and I can't believe it!! A month ago if we asked her what she wanted for her birthday all she would say was "I want a Car's cake!" So we figured she would want a Car's themed party, but a couple weeks ago she changed her mind completely! She is now obsessed with the Disney Princesses, OBSESSED! So we switched gears and had a Princess party. We just had family over to the house and had a BBQ an cake and ice cream and presents. Peyton got a bunch of new clothes for fall/winter, a couple of princess dress up outfits, a bunch of dress up jewelry, some princess toys, and some brand new princess panties (she no longer likes to wear her slightly older princess panties only the new ones). She had a lot of fun being with the family and playing with her new toys.
I am still amazed that she is 3 years old, she has grown up so fast. It feels like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. She brings our family so much happiness and just pure pure joy. She is up and running and is busy from the second she wakes up to the time she finally too tired at night to stay up any longer. This little fireball tests my patience daily, she loves to push my buttons as far as she thinks she can and when I am ready to crack she says something so funny that it is impossible to stay mad at her. She says the funniest things and she is such a social butterfly. I love being her mom and I am so so thankful that she is a part of our lives, and as big of a handful as she can be I wouldn't change a thing. We love you Peanut!!

Here is her cake, this thing took forever! I am happy with how it turned out but if I had all the right tools it would have been better but Peyton loved it!

Showing off some of her new presents. She really is happy about them she was just pretty tired when I took this.
Still wearing her crown the next morning at breakfast.
This is what I see pretty much everyday when I open her door, she is out of control :-)

Where did the summer go?

This summer has gone by so fast!! I can't believe that it is almost September!! I have royally sucked at keeping up at posting this summer but we have been busy doing so many fun things! Our camera died a couple weeks ago, major bummer, so I have been taking pictures on my phone but we are buying a new one soon. This is the first summer in 3 years that I haven't been pregnant so I have been enjoying every minute of it! We have gone to Pineview a few times, the zoo, lots of shopping and walks in the park and tons of swimming! We started the summer with Dev working back in Logan at his uncles furniture store and he has now switched jobs and is working at R C Willey. He works at the ginormous distribution center by the airport and he does deliveries in downtown SLC. He started a little over a month ago and so far he is loving it! We are hoping to get all of our debt paid off and get Dev enrolled in school by the first of next year. We paid our car off last month and it is so awesome not having that car payment anymore!!
Deven and I had our 5 year anniversary on the 13th and we actually got to really celebrate it this year! Every other year we have always been busy with work so we only got to go out to dinner. But this year we went up to Park City, for a night and it was so nice to get away even if it was only for one night. We went to dinner at this totally awesome BBQ place on Main St. in Park City called Bandits, seriously the best dinner I have had in a long long time. We walked Main St. and then went swimming and the next morning we got up and headed to the outlets to do some shopping. It was a nice quick trip and we will definitely be doing it again! I can't believe we have been married for 5 years already! It went by so fast and our lives have changed so much. We have been through a lot the last 5 years but I am honestly more in love with Dev now than I ever hoped I could be! He is such an amazing husband and father and I am so so lucky to have him!
Our kids are doing awesome! They are keeping us super busy and we just love them so much! Peyton will be 3 on the 5th and I can't believe that she is going to that old already. Where has the time gone! She has grown up so much in the last year. She was a little tomboyish to start of the year but now she is liking princesses and dress up a lot more than before! So we are going to go with a princess theme for her birthday and hopefully she likes it! She is so busy all the time, she always finds ways to entertain herself and is constantly running around. It's almost impossible to get a picture of her because she doesn't like to stop what she is doing to pose for a picture! Korbin is now 10 almost 11 months old and he is also a busy little man! He is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up onto everything he can. Peyton was walking by this time but Korbin is not really showing any interest in it yet. He will stand up all on his own but he won't take any steps. He is into everything and loves to play with Peyton and the dogs. He is the happiest little kid and is always smiling and laughing. He now has 8 teeth, 4 on bottom and 4 on top, he is still tall and skinny and has the longest fingers and toes. I am really looking forward to both of the kids' birthdays!
We have been enjoying our summer and I love the warm weather but I am getting excited for fall. I am excited for football, and baseball playoffs, Halloween and all the fun activities that fall time brings! Hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer!

Pineview and Fireworks

We have been having a great summer so far and we have been spending a lot of time outside. I took the kids up to Pineview with our friends Andrew and Amber and their kids a few weeks ago. Peyton loves it up there, she plays in the water and up on the beach building sandcastles and couldn't be happier. Korbin spends most of the time in his pack and play still because he loves to eat the sand, gross I know, or he goes out into the water with me. We went up again this weekend but I didn't get any pictures so these are all of the last time I went up.

It's so pretty up there

We have also been taking the kids to some fireworks shows. We went to the Harrisville fireworks up at Weber High and it was Korbin's first time seeing a big fireworks display and we were anxious to see how he would react. He did awesome! He jumped a mile when the first one went off but once he saw the light that they made he was fine and just stared up into the sky.

Playing with some glow sticks before the fireworks start.
