Zoo Lights!

Saturday we took Peyton to Hogle Zoo to see the lights. We went with Darcy, Thom and Haley and Hollee and Bryan and had a ton of fun! The it wasn't too cold so it was pretty nice walking around and looking at the lights and the few animals that we could see. I was pretty surprised how many lights they had, they had just about every animal. It was really really crowded though, the regular parking lot was full so we had to park across the street at the This is the Place state park so we had to hike down to the zoo. Peyton did pretty good, we got to the zoo at about 6:30 and she usually goes to bed at 7 or 7:30 so we were a little worried she would be grouchy since it was so close to her bed time. She got a little upset that we didn't take her out of the stroller very much. She wore her new coat for the first time yesterday and it is a little big on her. I got her an 18 month size coat thinking that it would fit her just fine with some room to grow into for the rest of the winter. Well it is bigger than I expected and when its on she can't put her arms down because its poofy and her arms are a lot shorter than the sleeves so her hands are stuck inside of them. She looked a lot like the kid off of The Christmas Story who couldn't put his arms down but at least she was warm. Every animal that she saw was a kitty, so we will have to work with her on the different types of animals there are. At the end of the night we tried a deep fried s'more and it was not too bad. It's definitely not something that I would eat everyday, but it was interesting to try.
We also bought Peyton her new car seat this weekend. She is much happier facing forward! She talks a lot more and she likes being able to look out the windows and see everything that she was missing out on before. I spent about 45 minutes standing in front of the car seat display at Babies R Us trying to figure out which one to buy, I researched the some online and figured out what ones I wanted to get a better look at. But I was pretty surprised by how big they are the one I ended up buying is huge! But it is nice and it looks pretty comfortable and it must be because Peyton falls asleep a lot easier than she did in her old car seat. The only problem that I have with it so far is how big it is, it takes up a ton of room in my backseat, if I had a car with a bigger backseat it would not be that big of a deal, but if we had to fit another car seat back there with this one it would be impossible!

This is Peyton's new car seat, you can't really get a good idea of how big it is from this picture so I will have to get a picture of it in my car. But she loves it!

Having some fun at Chili's

She kept stealing Bryan's hat and she thought she was pretty funny.

All bundled up.

Kaylee's carseat is huge too! I think all those convertable ones are! With Brooke's carseat back there too there really is no space.
