Memorial Day weekend to me is always the kickoff to summer! Dev went up to Idaho on Friday and spent a couple of days fishing with his dad while Peyton and I headed up to my parents and spent the weekend at their house. Peyton had a lot of fun playing outside and getting really really dirty. On Friday night she decided that she wanted to help my mom pull some weeds and proceeded to throw dirt everywhere and on everyone. My mom got the brunt of it but when I took Peyton inside to give her a bath she left a nice layer of dirt on the bottom of the bathtub after I got her all sprayed off.
Saturday I went shopping at Carter's for the second time this month! I think I may have a problem. I found so much cute stuff, too much maybe, so I went a little overboard and left the store with a heaping bag of clothes! We now have a good start on clothes for the baby, thankfully Carter's is starting to put some winter clothes out, not a lot but I am sure as the summer goes on there will be more and more to choose from. Peyton cleaned up, she got so much stuff, she is set for summer I should not have to buy her anymore unless it's too cute of an outfit to pass up!! My little sister Katy bought Peyton a little pink tee-ball set and so we spent the weekend watching her play with it. She knew exactly what to do and she can hit the ball really well, which is awesome! Dev came back from Idaho on Sunday so we loaded up the jeep and headed home and spent the rest of the day relaxing.
Monday we had Deven's mom and little sister's Dancee and Hollee come down to our house to go swimming. We have lived in our house for 2 1/2 years and this was the first time that we have used the pool! Last summer it seemed like we were never home so we never used it. But we were excited to see how Peyton would react to being in a pool for the first time. The pool was of course packed since everyone had the day off, so when we got there and headed into the water I think Peyton got a little overwhelmed with all of the splashing and water flying around. So she was not having very much fun at first and wanted to get out. We headed down into deeper water and Dev held her in his lap on the edge of the pool for a little bit and then he got in with her and she was fine. By the time we were ready to go she was jumping off the edge of the pool into Dev's arms. I am mad because I forgot to bring the camera and take pictures, but we have all summer to keep going back so I will get some pictures soon. This Saturday my family is all coming down to swim so I will get some good pictures then hopefully! We are excited for all the fun stuff that is sure to happen this summer, and it is nice to have warm weather and being able to take Peyton outside to play and get all of her energy out!
Gus enjoying being outside.
Rocking her new sunglasses.
Katy having some fun with some very big bubbles.

I love that you have a shopping problem!! It's nice to know I'm not the only one! It makes me laugh, because you were so worried that you wouldn't be able to find any cute boy clothes. And look, you were worried about nothing! :0)
Next time you go to that Carter's outlet, let me know, I want to go.
Ha Ha I went to Carter's today and spent so much on clothes that was 50-70% off!!! My husband is nice about it....but secretly I think he wants to kill me for having such a shopping addiction! Glad you had a good weekend.
