Christmas was awesome this year! Even though it was Peyton's 2nd Christmas it was the first one where she was excited about presents. Dev was off on Christmas Eve so we packed up the car and headed up to my parents house. We went out to do some last minute Christmas shopping with my mom and it was nuts! There were so many people out and traffic was crazy! But we finished up our shopping and headed back home. We played some games until it was time for Dev, Peyton and I to head down to Syracuse for the Sorensen's Christmas party. It was such a blast! Santa stopped by and gave out presents to all of the kids, Peyton was not quite sure what to make of him but she didn't cry. We hung out there for awhile and Dev played Rock Band a few times, it was really funny to watch. We headed back up to my parents and got Peyton all ready for bed. I bought her some Yankees pj's to wear and they looked really boyish but oh well, I have to get her cheering for the right team! She went to bed really easy, I didn't give her a nap that day so that she would be really tired and it worked, it also helped that she spent a few hours running around with Haley! Christmas morning I didn't roll out of bed until about 8:30, I went upstairs brushed my teeth then went and had to wake Peyton up, I am sure it will be different next year when she has a better idea about what happens on Christmas! Peyton was not sure what was going on but she seemed to enjoy, we would give her 1 present and she was perfectly content with just that one she didn't even care that she had more to open. Gus loved his stocking, he was more excited than Peyton was, he kept running around and had to play with each of the new toys we bought him. After we opened presents we had breakfast and then headed down to Dev's parents house and did the whole present opening all over again. After that we went back up to my parents for an awesome prime rib dinner! Then we played some games and sat around and talked for a while. The next morning we got up early and went and picked up Thom and Haley and headed out to Smith and Edward's all Deven wanted for Christmas was a pistol so that's what he got now he is going to get his concealed weapons permit and he will be all set. After we bought the gun, we headed back to Bluffdale and went to the mall out by our house, again it was pure craziness, lots of people were out shopping. I bought some new clothes and then we headed home and relaxed. Saturday brought more shopping, and while we were out we decided to get Peyton's ears pierced. We have been debating whether or not we wanted to get it done but we finally just decided to do it. She did so good! She cried for about 5 seconds then they handed her a sucker and she stopped. So it was probably more traumatic for Dev and I then is was for her.
We got a lot of awesome things for Christmas so thank you to all of our family for the great gifts! My mom and and dad got us a few cases of food storage, and Dev 's parents got us a little camp stove thing to go with it. Peyton got a potty, lots of books, some crayons and markers and a big coloring book, some new toys, and this awesome chair and couch set which she loves! Dev of course got his gun, and he got me this awesome new coat that I freaking love! So it was a good Christmas this year and we are looking forward to starting off 2009! Dev is going to head up to Idaho to go hunting with his dad this weekend and Peyton and I will be hanging out up in Layton with my mom, since my Dad will be heading out to New Orleans to see the Utes play in the Sugar Bowl. I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!
This is Christmas Eve morning while I was getting her ready to go, she was very excited.
Here she is with Santa trying to figure out what this strange man is holding her.
Getting ready to open some presents, she has some pretty sweet bed head going on.
Loving her new crayons.
Gus inspecting all of his new toys.
Sitting in her new chair trying to decide what ornament she is going to steal next.

She gets pretty mad when Haley goes into the bathroom without her so she sits by the door and puts her hands through the crack at the bottom.

This is a picture outside of my parents front door on Christmas night when that freak storm came in. Dev and Kyle tried to ski up the road hanging onto the back of Thom and Darcy's car, it didn't work to well.

Peyton's new potty that I am anxious for her to start using, but I am pretty sure I am going to be waiting awhile.

Her new chair that she likes to read books in, she has a couch to go with it but we couldn't fit it in our car with all the other stuff so it will come home later.

My mom and dad got her this toy, and it plugs into the the TV and she sits on the horse and she can play games, so it's kinda like her first video game.
