Crazy Peyton

Peyton is nuts! How so much energy and personality can be packed into that tiny body is beyond me. She does something new everyday, and is running and climbing on things from the second she wakes up to the time she goes to bed. She is very independent, she likes to do things on her own and gets mad if I try to help her out. She is perfectly content entertaining herself all day long, especially now that she has her toy room. I will get her up in the morning and feed her breakfast and then let her loose and usually she heads straight for her playroom and stays in there for hours! I can't go in there and play with her unless she hands me something that I can play with, and whatever it is that she hands me that is it, I can't touch anything else unless she feels like giving me permission. We are going to have to work on her sharing skills, although she has no problem sharing with Gus.

So yesterday we didn't have to go anywhere, on days like that I usually just let Peyton run around in her p.j.'s all day long. Well I had to run to Wal Mart just to grab some milk and I decided that instead of leaving Peyton at home with Dev I would take her with me, and this is the outfit that I picked for our 10 minute trip to get milk. A little too over the top but I think it is stinkin cute so I couldn't help but get her all dressed up.

Who knew that the belly button could be so much fun! Peyton has discovered her belly button and she loves pulling her shirt up and poking it and it keeps her occupied for hours. She also like to pull up my shirt and Dev's shirt and play with our belly buttons. However Dev and I both have innie belly buttons and Peyton has a pretty extreme outtie at the moment so she finds her belly button much more entertaining. So if you ever want to see her belly button just ask her where it is and she will be more than happy to give you a look.

This picture makes me laugh because of the story behind it. Dev and I are sitting on the couch right next to this one so we can see every move Peyton makes. Well she tends to think that she is pretty sneaky and she likes to climb on the couches and inch her way to the TV remotes or Deven's laptop. So anytime that Deven catches her doing this he says "No No" and every time Peyton's instant reaction is to drop to the couch in the fetal position and hide, until she thinks it is safe to try again. It has become a regular occurrence each night now.
