It's Getting Colder

I am excited for winter but more for the holidays than the actual season. I have never been a fan of cold weather so I usually dreaded it when winter would roll around. I am excited this year because Peyton is older and she can realize more of what is going on. But I am excited to play with her in the snow and dress her up in cute winter clothes. So the other day we went out to buy her some winter P.J.'s. All summer long she just slept in a onesie since our air conditioner was broken and our house was so hot, and she has gotten into the habit of kicking all of her blanket of and they usually wind up in a ball underneath her or somewhere else in her crib. Now that is is a lot colder at night she needed something to sleep in that would be warmer than a onesie. So we got her a couple pairs of pajama's and we love them! She looks so cute running around the house, they make her look so much older for some reason! Now we just have to break her of the habit of kicking her blankets off, because even though we have our heater turned on at night we don't have it up to high so it still gets fairly cold in our house. She has gotten a runny nose again and I am not sure if it is her getting sick or if she is getting some more teeth so we will just have to wait and see. The other new development this week is that she has learned how to climb out of her crib. When Dev gets up in the morning for work her goes and shuts her bedroom door so that he doesn't wake her up and Gus likes to go in her room to try and wake her up to play so we have to shut the door in the morning before he can get in there. So the other morning things we pretty quiet and I assumed that she was still sleeping so I went to open the door to check on her. As I was opening the door her cute little face popped out from around the corner. So somehow she had climbed out of her crib and was just playing on the floor in her room until I came to get her. She hasn't done it since so we are hoping that maybe it was just a one time thing for now but I don't think we will be that lucky.

Once they learn how to get out of their crib they are never the same. It's amazing how quickly they learn. Make sure your crib is on the lowest setting and if it is you are in for it..
